I would like to use Xfce as a desktop environment, but the problem is the place isn't enough on the upper panel. After trying out Mate, it was much better, because there are two panels, one at the bottom, and one at the top of the screen. There is enough space separately for the running applications, and for the different applets, plugins (CPU usage, temperature, memory, swap, weather, etc). Is it possible somehow to achieve this in Xfce too?

yes very easy, you can have as many panels as you want, go to "panel" in settings and click the "+" to add a new panel and then customize it how you like.

Thanks, meanwhile I realized, that I have two panels out of the box, but the lower panel is just resized, and centered, however one can place it anywhere on the desktop and freely manipulate its settings.
