GnuCash 3.7.3 not able to login for online banking since PSD2

Since 14th of September 2019, there is a two way authentification for any login to online banking or money transfer. "the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2)" requires every finance software to comply with this. There have been hundreds of messages in the german gnucash mailinglist concerning this topic. Lately, the discussion has ended, since the upstream seems to have solved the problem. But most users are still required to install a snap-pack since the official repositories have not yet updated the official package. So it is with Arch Linux.

What can I do to get the new and working version of GnuCash, AqBanking and gwenhywfar respectively to be implemented in the repos?
A bug report would be incorrect, according to the https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bu … guidelines

Thank you for any help.
And have a nice Christmas!

Re: GnuCash 3.7.3 not able to login for online banking since PSD2

Is this the related commit in gnucash https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/comm … fd8766521d ?
If so as a workaround you could build one of the indicated versions of aqbanking locally then rebuilt gnucash using the newly built version of aqbanking.

Re: GnuCash 3.7.3 not able to login for online banking since PSD2

Hi loqs, thank you for your answer.
Yes, the topic is related. I have read a lot of workarounds also in the mailinglist. But since it seems to work now, I was hoping for an official build in the repos. I was asking myself "Why should every user have to use a workaround if it can be ported to the repos?", so this post is my attempt to have it implemented.

If you want to contact the maintainer then I would suggest a feature request on the bug tracker.
Arch generally packages the latest stable release you would need to present a case that either shipping a beta release of aqbanking or
cherry picking commits and changing the version check in gnucash was justified in comparison to the risk.
