pulseaudio plugin doesn't show up in the xfce panel

I want to add the pulseaudio plugin into the xfce panel, but for some reason it doesn't show up in the possible items to add to the panel.
I added a launcher, when I click to edit it and select a program, the pulseaudio plugin doesn't show up in the list. I have installed the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin package, and as you can see in the screenshot, libpulseaudio-plugin.so has been correctly installed. I have been told in IRC that this should make it appear in the list of programs to be added as items in the xfce panel.
I am clueless on how to add this icon. I would need it to control the volume easily.

Re: pulseaudio plugin doesn't show up in the xfce panel

Since it's a panel plugin, you should add it as one. Right-click the panel and select Panel > Add New Items. It will show up as a plugin that you can add to the panel.
