It seems like my Laptop (Dell XPS 9570 with intel 9260 wifi card) cant connect to dns server anymore. I can connect to the internet but only to some sites, sometimes the sites just dont load and I just time out.
If i try to ping a website like google.com everything is fine, but if i try to ping 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 i get:
sendmsg: Operation not permitted
The strangest thing is that it doesn't seem to be just cached sites I can visit some totally random sites seem to work, but others don't GitHub being the notable and really annoying example.
Checking the status of the NetworkManager services just yields:

At this point I stuck and really frustrated any help is more than welcome

I know that this is not solution, just a workaround, but you may try this:
in Firefox: go to preferences > network (bottom of page) > settings and select DNS over HTTPS.
Report if that worked.

Just found the solution. There seems to be a bug in the nordvpn-bin package which messes up the dns servers used in /etc/resolv.conf. If you want more details, the discussion under the package might be helpful. For now i just uninstalled it and the issue is fixed
Thanks for the help regardless.
