Hey everyone. I was using timeshift as backup tool, doing manual backups every week.
Today i update the system, (and the aur’s packages), but find out that time shift is no working propertly.
When opened it asked for the password(if correctly writed), it does no open the program.
I also tried opening it from the command line with
sudo timeshift-gtk
and get the error
timeshift-gtk: error while loading shared libraries: libxapp.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
until now i have found that the folder that is asking for is in. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … pps/files/ (but cannot install it like others aur’s packages, i believed is installed by default)
Any help will be appreciate. thanks a lot.

This is an AUR package. A better place to ask for help is its AUR web page.
P.S. - xapps is a dependency needed by timeshift but it is not an AUR package.

Why do you think xapps is "installed by default", or an AUR package? It seems like you aren't clear on the differences between the official repos and the AUR. Please read the following:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Of … positories
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … Repository

Mod note: Moving to AUR Issues.

makepkg would warn you about missing dependencies. How did you build/install timeshift?
For your other questions, read again carefully the linkks given to you in post #3.
