Hello!
I've got a problem with my USB sound device sometimes.
I'm using a Bose Companion® 5 speaker plugged directly into a USB 2.0 Port on my Motherboard (ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE).
Sometimes when I listen to music (eg. on YouTube) the sound is dropping out when the video is paused and then restarted.
I'm using the newest kernel (5.4.7-arch1-1) with KDE Plasma and Pulseaudio.
Digging through my dmesg i discovered:
usb 3-1.8: 1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
When the sound drops I need to unplug the speaker from power and reconnect it - then sound is working fine again (until it drops out again).
Hope you can help me.
PS: already googled for this issue but couldn't find a solution.
Cheers,
msschabh
EDIT 1: if you need any additional data, I'll provide it.

Solved (temporarly)!
Found a similar error on Raspberry Pi forums.
Adopted the solution by adding
snd-usb-audio.quirk_alias=05a71020:047f02f7
to kernel parameters in /etc/default/grub.
It works!
Already filed a bugreport on bugzilla.kernel.org to include it in quirks.c.
Cheers,
