I had my aur account suspended a long time ago, but I still get notifications on the packages I wanted to maintain. Last time I asked I was shot down on re enabling my account, and gave up on the packages. Can some one confirm why my account was suspended and either re-enable it or orphan and remove the notifications my account is tied to.
Thank you

For queries like this, you'd be better off asking on the AUR-General mailing list, or #archlinux-aur irc channel. Some TUs frequent the forum, but you're more likely to get their attention through those fora.

Can you remind me where your previous discussion was about re-enabling your account?

I dont see it either in my account. It might have been in IRC. this was a long time ago. Gave up on my mail server back then as well. Got the bug to set back up and saw aur notifications.

Hmm, broken email stuff. I think I've just remembered what this was about: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dior … ent-655810
At the time, I see I sent you an email:
I've suspended the account for "laramy2020" due to the comments at
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/diorite/Until I can confirm that the account laramy2020 actually has a human
being on the other end and not a bot, it will remain disabled.
Do you recall getting this email?
In any event, I've re-enabled your account.
Please keep up to date on your package notifications in the future. I'm pretty sure the only reason I suspended your account at the time was in order to prevent an automated process from reclaiming the "diorite" package after I orphaned it -- it was getting updated, but somehow the checksums were *removed* in https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … 3f37e9f0ab, and then this broken update on top of that happened: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … eb84790265
So, IIRC I orphaned the package due to lack of response to the comments, and disabled the account to stop it from continuing to try to push.
So anyway, yeah, you can get back into the AUR now, just try to be more careful in the future about your packages. At a minimum, if you're going to do cron updates of a package (it's preferable to do this manually after checking it works), make sure that `makepkg --verifysource -f` succeeds before committing the results, and, well, ideally that it builds cleanly using makechrootpkg/extra-x86_64-build from the "devtools" package.

I have long since disabled my auto build server. if i ever get back into building i will look into cleaning it up/other tools. But i deleted the vm that run the builds.
I might start with a personal repo of packages i install across my devices if i do this again.
Thanks for the unlock.
also thanks for the update about those tools.
