The problem I am facing is that Konsole shows the letters I am typing after 2-3 seconds. I am not sure if this log is relevant. Please suggest what other logs can guide me find the right problem.

Re: Konsole responding to typing after a few seconds

The error message seems to be coming from Chromium source code. As per the comment in the source code, this should not be happening. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Re: Konsole responding to typing after a few seconds

My Konsole is acting really weird. It's like the keystrokes don't trigger a render any more. If I type something, it does not show up. If I scroll up and back down, then the render happens and I can see the typed text.

Re: Konsole responding to typing after a few seconds

Which graphics driver do you use? If xf86-video-intel try removing it and any configuration you might have done, so that xorgs internal modesetting is used instead.

Re: Konsole responding to typing after a few seconds

In my case,

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/

is an empty folder. I have

local/xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+899+gf66d3954-1 (xorg-drivers)

installed. Is it safe to remove the intel driver?

Re: Konsole responding to typing after a few seconds

Check /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ as well, but it's generally "safe" - in doubt X11 just won't start and you'll have to look harder for the stale config file smile
