I have spend the last 2 hours with this &%$ Windows thing adding stuff to the registry, powercfg /hibernate off, changing group policy settings, etc. in my endeavour to make sure Windows does not use fastboot, but it keeps on booting really quick and I haven't found a way to find out if fast boot is enabled or if my machine is just pretty fast.
I'll spend more time on this tomorrow and will update this thread accordingly.

According to one of the windows links, you can (in windows)
shutdown /s /f /t 0
to force a full windows shutdown.
Doing that on AC should get you in a clean state - if it still insta-wakes on linux, the hibernating windows is unlikely the cause.

That was one of the options I tried.
- shutdown /s /f /t 0
- powercfg /hibernate off
- Added "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power\HiberbootEnabled" key to registry along this line: https://serverfault.com/questions/79329 … oup-policy
- Changed group policy
- Click shutdown while shift is pressed
- and a few more I forgot
And now it's getting late and I need to call it a day.
@Seth, I may sound frustrated, and I am, and the bottle of wine I just finished doesn't help :-), but I really aprecciate your help!

Once you're sober enough again, you can try to lie to the BIOS. Pass
acpi_osi=! acpi_osi="Windows 2012"
to the kernel parameters (also try 2009 and 2015)
And don't worry - windows blackboxsoyourenotgettingconfusedabouttheos approach usually frustrates me within 15 minutes. And I don't drink wine. But I've a punching ball

Unfortunately these don't work either.
2009 and 2012 show no visible effect, 2015 led to a crash which turned off "switchable graphics" in the BIOS and the machine getting stuck during boot.
I checked that the parameters were in play via dmesg:
Kernel command line: initrd=\intel-ucode.img initrd=\initramfs-linux.img cryptdevice=UUID=5f5a8caa-fea4-4858-963d-a5fedd746e09:luksOS:allow-discards root=/dev/mapper/luksOS rootflags=subvol=@ rd.luks.options=discard rw acpi_osi=! acpi_osi="Windows 2012"
