Authentication error for both root and newly added user on fresh inst.

Someone can help me to make Arch working ?

I arch-chrooted to add a new_user, I installed sudo as well and configured it.

But still can not log into new installation having Authentication error for both root and new_user

Shells seem to be set correctly, no PAM errors ...

/etc/vconsole.conf is empty

Well yes, you are expected to set this. If you don't and you aren't using an en_US keyboard then your layout will not be what you expect and you are likely typing wrong symbols in comparison to what you set as the password during installation. Type your password into the user section of the loginmask, does it contain the characters you expect to have in your password?
