osu! runs but shows black screen and X window error

I've installed the AUR package for osu! and have successfully installed it. After I launch the program, I can hear the audio of the game (implying that it is running) but I get a black screen. Launching it from terminal, I get the following error message:

ATTENTION: default value of option vblank_mode overridden by environment.
X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 7 (X_ReparentWindow)
Resource id in failed request: 0x340007c
Serial number of failed request: 1778
Current serial number in output stream: 1779

To be clear, the game does not crash, but it is purely a black screen. I think it has something to do with 32 bit drivers but I am not sure where to start. What I mean by this is for osu! to work in the first place, I had to turn on multilib. However, it's possible that the game requires certain drivers that I don't have installed, but I'm not sure what those drivers would be. Thank you any help.

Well yeah, which graphics card and driver do you use?

Re: osu! runs but shows black screen and X window error

I'm running this graphics card:

[slopey@arch ~]$ lspci | grep -e VGA -e 3D
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09

I have xf86-vide-intel and mesa installed for drivers. lib32-mesa is also installed.

Re: osu! runs but shows black screen and X window error

that should be fine, reparent failure could also be an issue of the window manager what are you using here? If something tiling you should specify the wine/osu window to be handled floating (and though likely unrelated to this direct issue, the xf86-video-intel driver can often have weird side effects and I'd reccommend you try without)
