new install on old laptop no sound still
ibm thinkpad t20, ran thru all the alsa installs, etc.
lshwd lists sound card as
00:05.0 Multimedia audio controller: Cirrus Logic|CS 4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] (snd-cs46xx)
tried many different things to get this to go, any suggestions here? thanks.

got everything else up and going. Cannot get the sound up and running. No audio at all.

If yuo not hear sound, then write 'alsaconf' in console and write that 'alsaconfig' write.
