[SOLVED] Disable power-saver using netctl

Hi

The wifi works fine on my computer except it(the wifi) powers off after a certain amount of time of network inactivity...
This is due to the wifi's power-saver mode enabled by default on this laptop.
I know it can be fixed using iw or NetworkManager as described on the wiki (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mi … ook_2#WiFi) but I would like to disable it and still be able to use netctl as my network manager.
The issue is, I dOn'T KnOw HoW tO dO ThIs...

laptop: surface book

Thanks for your answers

Re: [SOLVED] Disable power-saver using netctl

For an approach that will work with all network management solutions see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Po … interfaces but change "on" to "off".

Or if this is for the iwlwifi driver then perhaps try a file in /etc/modprobe.d/, as per https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Po … _(iwlwifi) but again with the boolean inverted.

Thanks for your quick and helpful answers !
I added a hook, now I just have to let my computer awake without using network a while and see if it worked.
