Evolution on KDE Plasma

Hello fellow users,

I wanted to give the Evolution mail client a try on my KDE Plasma install. I installed gnome-keyring and intended to have it unlock upon login so I don't have to enter my mail passwords every time I start Evolution. The wiki article suggests this should work automatically with the SDDM login manager.
However, on startup Evolution insists on creating a keyring called "default" for my passwords which is not unlocked on login. I'm at a loss here what to do. Did anyone else encounter this problem?
