How to stick with KDE Plasma 5.18 LTS

I would like to stick with LTS release on my system. Is there any way? I haven't found any aur packages nor user repository which provides LTS packages of KDE.

I know that currently we have LTS release in official repository but when there will be 5.19, it will get instantly bumped and nobody will care about 5.18.X releases.

If no one else does you will have to get to building yourself, will in theory be as simple as keep old PKGBUILDs, bump minor versions and rebuild as necessary. If no one else does it and you can't do it yourself then I doubt that there is a possibility. FWIW I haven't found newer plasma releases to be particularly and notably unstable but YMMV

Re: How to stick with KDE Plasma 5.18 LTS

I just tested 5.18.2. The long story short: panel autohiding doesn't work. Ok, it works, but you get some weird behavior like panel appearing twice or empty panel draft during DE start. Especially if you create 2 of them or more.

Also panels are not as configurable as with Xfce. For example there is no intelligent mode for panel appearance and I can't set something like: when I move my mouse to the left top edge of the screen, show the panel.

It's a shame that such basic things worked 10 years ago with KDE 3 hmm
