No WLAN after boot, dhcpcd wlp2s0 --nohook mtu helps

Hey guys, it's me again,

Another day, another problem at hand.

Right after I boot up, I can't ping anything although I'm connected to my router.

When I type

dhcpcd wlp2s0 --nohook mtu

it magically 'turns on' my WLAN.

To make this persistent, is there a way to modify my dhcpcd.conf?

What I did in this section of my dhcpcd.conf:

# Persist interface configuration when dhcpcd exits.
persistent
dhcpcd wlp2s0 --nohook mtu

I can't really test it right now since I had to leave for work at the time.

What I'm asking you guys: Is my approach correct? I don't want to have to type the command everytime I boot up.
