Bluetooth autoconnect not working

So, an user linked me this to autoconnect my bluetooth speakers

There are two issues:

- bluetooth audio.conf is deprecated

- when trying to run start module-bluetooth-discover via pactl i get "pa_context_connect() failed connection refused"

What should i do next? not sure which kind of logs could be helpful

First: don't use 67 years old instructions meant for another distribution (well, unless you're confirmed they are still relevant and applicable, but the safe assumption is, they are not).

I've never had problems with bluetooth, and I use a graphical manager to handle things in KDE. The few bluetooth devices I've used connect as I want them to (manually, automatically and whatever).

How have you exactly paired your device? If using a GUI manager, does it not have an option to set up automatic connection?

First of all thanks for trying to help

Currenly using Blueman as bluetooth manager, both devices i'm testing are connected as trusted and they connect

Added "load-module module-switch-on-connect" to pulse config and "autoenable" to bluetooth config, still nothing

Bluetooth service seems to be ok

EDIT: I have just noticed in blueman, when power on my speakers, seems like it tries to connect to them but fails for some reason

And, besides loading module-switch-on-connect, you have trusted the device (as per the Wiki)?

I can not give any more hints ATM, as I don't have anything to auto-connect to at the moment here.

Also, please don't describe things as failing with "nothing". Paste the exact steps you have made, and commands you have run, and with error message here ("nothing" could be anything and gives no information whatsoever as to what might be wrong). "journalctl -f" output could be useful - I usually run it in the background if something is not working, and more often than not, the problem / tip is in there.

The error message in your first post seems to point into a problem with PulseAudio, but I could be wrong here...

Ok adding a little bit here, thinking maybe audio sink may be part of the picture

I have speakers that have both audio sink and handsfree options, could that be it?
