Problems with nouveau driver on hybrid graphics with NVIDIA P2000

I have a ThinkPad P52 laptop with hybrid Intel / NVIDIA P2000 graphics. I want to use nouveau driver and hybrid graphics. The problem I'm having is that as long as I have Hybrid Graphics setting in BIOS nor Xorg nor sway is able to boot using nouveau driver. At the same time trying to run lspci hangs computer for a minute and then restarts the whole OS. As soon as I change my BIOS setting to Discrete Graphics everything starts to work. Also, if I use proprietary nvidia driver instead of nouveau, I'm able to run Xorg.

Can I somehow run nouveau with hybrid graphics?
Possibly related discussion: 5.5.1 and newer won't work with nouveau.

EDIT: Adding acpi_osi=! acpi_osi="Windows 2009" to kernel parameters as advised here solved my issue and now I'm able to boot both Xorg and sway using Hybrid Graphics. What does that kernel setting do?
