[SOLVED] [gnome] [i3] Possibility to choose DE/WM during login

Hi,

I was using Gnome for some time and then switched to i3. I installed i3 while having Gnome installed. After that, Gnome provided login screen, where I could log into the system. Moreover, I had possibility to choose DE/WM during the login. I even removed Gnome when I decided to switch to i3 completely, but then I didn't have login screen and i3 doesn't provide it, so I needed to install it back again to be able to log into the window manager. After the recent update of the gnome, login screen changed a bit and right now I don't have possibility to choose DE/WM like previously during the login. I'm using i3 during most of the time and I'm logged into this WM automatically now, but I'd like to have this option in case I want to check something on gnome or try different WM/DE. Do you know, how to enable possibility to choose DE/WM on the Gnome login screen? Solution using terminal is preferable because I cannot login into Gnome right now. I appreciate any help.

Thanks. I figured out that I can change desktop environment in /var/lib/AccountsService/users/$USER file in XSession variable. This solution is good enough for me at this moment.

I have to read more about these display managers, display servers, etc. Previously, I simply used the very first solution, which I had installed and which worked out of the box.
