I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1060 6GB to a RX 5700 XT. After I installed the GPU, I rebooted and systemd hangs at
[ OK ] Reached target Graphical Interface.
I checked the status of sddm.service, and it says this:
● sddm.service - Simple Desktop Display Manager

I tried looking up all those errors, but that didn't turn anything useful up. So I decided to look in the systemd journal. That gave me this:

Clean out your Xorg config files in /etc/X11/ and /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ to go back to the default state of the system.
Take a look at the Xorg log file to see what it has logged.

That worked, thanks!
