My main driver is a laptop, which I use with my external monitor from Dell (connected via HDMI) and a keyboard and mouse (connected via a USB dongle) for 99% of the time. For a few days now, I noticed that my screen turns off after I put chromium in focus and use it for some time. Unfortunately I have been unable to ascertain the following data points:
A rough ballpark number for the duration after which the monitor turns off. I can't quite get a handle it, as it also happens when I open a new tab in chromium. (Sidenote: I mostly use firefox for everything, but use chromium as an additional browser as well.)
Whether it only occurs when chromium is in focus (i.e. I actively use it) or it is simply running but I am doing something in another window. I am leaning towards the former but I could swear it also happened while I was working in a LO Calc file.
As soon as I use the mouse or keyboard, it turns back on. And it just happened again while I was reading and scrolling down an article on spiegel.de. And since I scrolled with the mouse wheel, it basically turned back on instantly,... which, all in all, total stumps me as to what is going on.
What could I do to stop this behaviour?
