No GNOME Wayland session on AMD/nVidia hybrid graphics laptop [SOLVED]

Hello.

I have an ASUS X570ZD with AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Vega 8 + nVidia Geforce GTX 1050M.

After installing the nVidia driver and configuring the Xorg.conf for hybrid setup, I realized that I lost the Wayland option in GDM menu.

It only launches X11's GNOME session.

Is it working as designed or is there a way to make it work under Wayland + Xwayland?

No this works as designed, afaik no Wayland compositor has proper support for offloading yet (and there's also quite a few differences in how nvidia implements wayland compared to other vendors which likely makes this close to impossible to implement properly currently (as both implementations would have to be somehow compatible with each other))
