Pulseaudio fails after a period of time

I installed PulseAudio and enabled it with `systemctl --user enable pulseaudio`. Sound works when I boot up the system and log in but then it stops working, seemingly at random. At about the same time `pactl` starts to fail with the message "Connection failure: connection terminated" and `pavucontrol` hangs at "Establishing connection to PulseAudio. Please wait..." Restarting PulseAudio doesn't work. Only a reboot can fix it again.

Output of `systemctl --user status pulseaudio`:

```
● pulseaudio.service - Sound Service
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/user/pulseaudio.service; disabled; vendor preset: enabled)
TriggeredBy: ● pulseaudio.socket
Output of `systemctl --user status pulseaudio.socket`:
```

   Triggers: ● pulseaudio.service

```
I've tried setting `autospawn = yes` in `/etc/pulse/client.conf` and disabling `module-suspend-on-idle` in `/etc/pulse/default.pa` but nothing seems to work. What is going on?
EDIT: pardon the backticks! I thought this forum supported markdown!
Re: Pulseaudio fails after a period of time
It supports [ code ] [ /code ] tags without spaces instead.
How are you logging in? and into what kind of environment? After failure post a
sudo journalctl -b
Re: Pulseaudio fails after a period of time
I'm logging in via TTY and then launching the sway window manager manually from the command line, since I don't want to bother with a display manager.
Output of journalctl -b:
