I used to use the following command and it would produce files with incremental file name (tmp-001.png, tmp-002.png etc).
convert -density 200 file.pdf tmp-%03d.png
Now it produces file like magick-152086d8eUy00eKfOd
ImageMagick 7.0.10-1 Q16 x86_64 2020-03-16
Any hint?

It works for me, using 'extra/imagemagick 7.0.10.1-1' on a random PDF
$ ls
file.pdf tmp-001.png tmp-003.png tmp-005.png
tmp-000.png tmp-002.png tmp-004.png

OK. It works for smaller files for me too.
It must have something to do with the available space of the /tmp folder.
