Audio issues: Intel HD Graphics 4400 (DisplayPort) to QE55Q70R (HDMI)

Explanation and description of my audio problems will be found at the end oh this post.

So... Let's move on my system specs.

Computer is a USFF desktop by Lenovo: M73 tiny (ThinkCentre).
Machine Type Model: 10AXS1X700
Type: 10AX
s/n: PB03BMRE

CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-4130T (Haswell)
GPU: Intel® HD Graphics 4400
"Max Resolution (DP) 3840x2160@60Hz" as per the information provide by links above.

My assumption: DisplayPort is 1.2a version.
This because the CPU was launched on Q3'13.
Also my M73 model had warranty starting from 2014-08-04 and "DisplayPort version 1.3 was approved on 15 September 2014".
From Wikipedia you can see release date of various versions of DisplayPort.

Then, according to this table it is possible to reach 3840×2160@60.0Hz, thanks to bandwidth of 17.28 Gbit/s with HBR2 (High Bit Rate 2) mode of DisplayPort v1.2a.

The DisplayPort is linked to Plugable active adapter which in turn outputs via "Premium High Speed HDMI Cable (1,5mt)" the signal to the Samsung QE55Q70R UHD TV (HDMI 2.0).
Cable is good: 4K@60 with HDR works on both PS4 Pro and my main desktop.
Adapter is good: sound output is fine on same machine, tested on Windows 10 Pro x64 and latest GPU (Lenovo)drivers from here.
On my Samsung TV the input HDMI port is set to Signal Plus which gets me the capability of having 4K@60 (on the same port I tested working both my main desktop with ArchLinux and nVIDIA and the MT73 tiny on Windows 10 Po x64).

$ uname -srm

Linux 5.5.10-arch1-1 x86_64

extra/xf86-video-intel is NOT installed.

$ pacman -Si plasma-desktop plasma-pa | grep Ver

Versione                  : 5.18.3-1
Versione                  : 5.18.3-1

The problem.

With 1920x1080@120:

  • when pressing Vol_UP or Vol_DOWN (multimedia keys on keyboard) plasma-pa graphical pop-up appears immediately, good. But there is NO audio feedback of plasma-pa pop-up; only if I keep pressed Vol_UP or Vol_DOWN, then the audio feedback starts after some delay (and the it goes smooth with no delays). Seems like the audio output needs to wake-up.

  • only sometimes (random): after "waking-up" the audio, if I start VLC the sound is crackling and steadily it stops for a bunch of milliseconds... I'll say that the audio is skipping, like when - back in times - you were listening to a scratched audio CD.

  • NO WAY to get audio output from YouTube (Firefox).

  • After some time audio disappears: there is no more audio output at all and I cannot get it working by pressing Vol_UP or Vol_DOWN keys. MUST reboot.

With 1920X1080@60:

  • NO sound AT ALL

Here's a screenshot of KDE SystemSettings - Audio panel

Please help, thanks!
