Today I updated my system and now my sound has stopped working. I've tried googling around to see if anyone else had the issue but the only things I've found for this version of alsa (1.2.2-1) are things about breaking unity based games and my issue is that my entire system is without sound. Even the volume bar for alsa on my polybar has disappeared.
A few things I've seen people due for past versions is either downgrade alsa to a version that worked or installing pulseaudio. I've put off installing pulseaudio because alsa did everything I needed it to so I didn't feel like it was necessary.
I had a similar issue to this when I first installed Arch in January and was able to fix it thanks to someone suggesting I add the argument
dmic_detect=0
to my alsa conf and that worked fine up until now.
My alsa-info.sh output is here.
If I run speaker-test I get this output:
Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 2 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1089(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory
The output for aplay -L | grep :CARD is:
hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=0
hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=1
hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=2
hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=3
usbstream:CARD=NVidia

That block verifies you are not using the dmic_detect option anywhere currently. So what happens if you readd that? In any case this option is considered deprecated and you will likely rather want to use
options snd_intel_dspcfg dsp_driver=1 #Other options are 2 or 3, but if I'm interpreting the logs correctly it's using 3 right now and that's the problem

When I went back into my alsa conf dmic_detect was definitely still there, but I replaced it with what you suggested and it's working again. Thanks!
