owncloud-client not storing credentials; needs relogin on reboot

I have installed owncloud-client, qtkeychain, libsecret, and gnome-keyring. I have setup a keyring called "login", which is automatically unlocked by my display manager lightdm, as the default keyring. I have verified that the keyring is unlocked. Nevertheless, the owncloud-client does not store my credentials in the keyring (even though from what I gather from the wiki, it should). Hence I need to relogin on every reboot, which is quite annoying.

Has anyone had success with correctly configuring owncloud-client to store credentials in the keyring?

Re: owncloud-client not storing credentials; needs relogin on reboot

The problem was that I ran the client from a systemd unit, which prevented it from accessing the keyring.
