Add electronic signature to PDF file without losing forms?

I'm trying to add a SVF/PNG signature to a form-fille PDF document, but having trouble keeping the forms after editing and exporting the signed file. I've tried with Xournal++, LibreOffice Draw and even GIMP, but any change to the PDF file seems to disable or remove the form fields.

Anyone know of an effective way to achieve this?

If you want to add an image and not a cryptographic signature, try e.g. python-signpdf (in the AUR).

Thanks for the suggestion, while it does add the signature file, I still lose the form fields.
