I recently installed android studio on Arch Linux, but when trying to start a new application, I was faced with the error message
ERROR: Failed to open zip file.
Gradle's dependency cache may be corrupt (this sometimes occurs after a network connection timeout.) It provides an option to redownload dependencies, but this does not do anything and just goes back to the error message. I have also tried checking and resetting my network connection several times, but have had no success.
I downloaded the Android Studio as a .tar.gz file from the official site here and downloaded the Android SDK environment as I was prompted to by the program.
Which dependencies may I need to redownload and where can I find it?

I downloaded it from the AUR but I still had the same error message popped up, even after reinstalling the SDK. Not sure why this is happening.
