[SOLVED] PulseAudio Microphone Issues

Hello, I'm having troubles with my UM2-XM8500 microphone setup right now. I'm not very familiar with PulseAudio, but I tried to figure this out on my own, and ultimately decided to come here for help.

Here's the deal, my microphone is way too quiet. The physical gain on the device is turned up just below clipping. I went to PulseAudio settings (GUI) and changed the volume "USB AUDIO CODEC" to
150%. It does increase, but it's still too quiet to hear. I then screwed around with arecord -l and amixer and I kept trying to change the volume from there. However, I still couldn't. I found my card no. was
3 and device 0. Either way, tried to keep changing settings through amixer and couldn't get it. So then I went to alsa-mixer. F6 -> found USB Audio CODEC -> 1 slider and it didn't allow amplifying. I
could reduce the audio, but it wouldn't go beyond 0.0 dB. Kind of pissed me off. Decided to Google more, found the same solution with arecord -l and amixer, as I've just tried, as well as "use Alsa Mixer."
One thread was literally just a dude asking if a similar set up as mine worked "out of the box" and the responses were all "yes" so fml. Either way, I get to "QasMixer" so I'm like, "alright, let me check this
out and see if it'll have the same problem as alsa-mixer" and it did. It allowed me to reduce audio to -128.0 dB. Like, wtf, I want it louder not quieter? This is all after looking through the Arch Wiki. In the
Wiki, it says some stuff about module-load in the PulseAudio config in the /etc directory, but the problem isn't that it's not loading; the problem is that it's nearly impossible to hear. I tested audio in Discord
and in KMixer.

I am using KDE Plasma for the DE.

I tried to follow those instructions (using the second "USB_Audio_CODEC) from the Wiki and it just crashed PulseAudio. And when it didn't, no audio would play through anything.

I would like to give some more information but alas, most of the stuff I tried is buried in the terminal.

I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

Edit: I would like to clarify that my headset ["Steel Series Arctis 5"]'s volume works fine (both the microphone + speakers) but the built-in microphone is dogcrap so ofc I'd like to use my real mic.

A lot of interpretations and little facts/hard information in this post. Post while attempting to record

and use [ code ] [ /code ] tags without the spaces to post that.

Edit: not completely relevant, but I shut down my PC last night, booted it up, and my headset (not the one I'm having issues with) got boosted to 450% volume on PulseAudio.

Sorry for the lateish response, this one fell off a bit.

The while trying to record part can be relevant. Your mic does not expose a capture control, but maybe it logically syncs the one PCM for both output and input, so try

amixer -c3 set PCM,0 100%,100%
#And depending on how it reacts to this the following could also help
pacmd set-card-profile alsa_card.usb-Burr-Brown_from_TI_USB_Audio_CODEC-00  input:analog-stereo

I did some further testing with the microphone and compared it to my headset microphone, which has been working fine, and it seems after running these two commands, 150% for the microphone is equivalent to 100% volume for the headset, but I can actually hear it now so thanks for your answer! I appreciate it greatly!
