After systemd-bootd it then loads vmlinuz-linux, but fails with the message
exit_boot() failed!
efi_main() failed!
I've tried searching on the arch linux forums for answer but for some reason I keep getting
504 Gateway Time-out
I did some search on duckduckgo and google and the impression I'm getting is "disable secure boot" but is already disabled
Mobo: Asus Prime X570-PRO
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3950x
BIOS: 1405 ( latest avaible at time of this post 1-4-2020 )
RAM: 32gb ( 8gb x 4 ) at 3600MHz
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT Evoke OC
This machine never had windows installed
I usually compile my own kernels but to see if this problem was with my changes, I just use arch PKBUILD instead and I see the same problem
While typing this post, I've just compiled ( I love this CPU performance ) 5.5.14, installed and booted into that
I'm stuck on this
any pointers please
thanks

Thanks to some help from here
The kernel config CONFIG_EFI_DISABLE_PCI_DMA disabled or kernel parameter "efi=no_disable_early_pci_dma" set allows me to boot
Now running 5.6.1

I have the same problem on a Ryzen 2700X and ASRock X470 Taichi motherboard. The people in that kernel bug tracker thread you found also have different boards/laptops. I then guess this is not just a bug in some motherboards, it might be something that's happening on all Ryzen systems?

I have the same problem on Intel Haswell so not Ryzen-related.

CONFIG_EFI_DISABLE_PCI_DMA is no longer enabled with testing/linux 5.6.2.arch1-2.
