I used Enlightenment on a RedHat 7.something box a while back but went to XFCE because the Enlightenment development team is off re-doing the whole entire project. I had lib issues and didn't feel like dealing with them.
XFCE is on my Slack boxes, except for my laptop which I now am using Gnome just so I can get an idea how it works.
When I get time, all my boxes will become Arch and run Enlightenment. Except for the servers at work cuz we don't do no stickin X on those.

I have been using gnome since 1.4...
It is the best DE.
Fluxbox is IMHO something for people who don't like the *fast* way. (I mean => one click and your app shows up)
However... I might try openbox/rox... seems something nice.
Geert.
