Gnome Shell Emojies disproportionate/cut off

I've had my system running for 7 months but I've recently noticed that emojis in the gnome desktop look fairly ugly. They appear like this in most if not all places (notifications, gnome web emoji picker...). I am running Gnome 3.36.1 with Wayland (that does not seem to matter, because using Xorg does not fix this). I do not use any scaling. I am happy to provide more info, but I really don't know where could I find a log for this kind of issue.

Solved by installing noto-fonts-emoji
