No internet connection - possibly router

I cant connect to the internet when in the live arch installer. I have tried with both ethernet and wifi but cant get a connection with either.

When i run "wifi-menu" i get a list of all the available wifi options and can find my own. When i connect to it, it accepts the password.
After connecting when i run "ip a" the output is:

wlan0: <boardcast, multicast, up, lower_up> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state up group default qlen 1000

But after a few seconds it goes back to:

The one i am using now is a lenovo yoga 500 and the wireless chipset is "intel corporation wireless 3160 (rev 93)" but i have tried using 3 different computers all with the same problem.

If i share a wifi hotspot from my phone the connection works. Because of this i am thinking the problem is with my router or a missing package?.

I have had the same problem when trying to install ubuntu server, but my wifi works and a laptop running mint and one with ubuntu.
Its a d-link router with default configuration.

Try to connect (both, ethernet and wifi), then dump the system journal into a file ("sudo journalctl -b > /tmp/journal.txt"), copy that to some usb key or hard disk and post it when you've an internet connection.

I completed the installation using the hotspot on my phone, and after installation i was able to get a connection with Ethernet but when using wifi-menu it always says "connection failed".

The packages installed related to network are: networkmanager, netctl, wpa_supplicant, wireless_tools, dialog and linux-firmware.

I am not sure if this problem is related to why i could'nt get a connection under the live install.

I got the journalctl from the completed install here Pastebin, but could not figure out how to get it under the live install.

That shows NetworkManager running as well as netctl, they are conflicting.

If you don't have a graphical desktop then use the nmtui command to connect with NetworkManager from the console but make sure netctl is disabled & stopped before trying that (or disable & stop NM before trying wifi-menu).

If you want to use wifi-menu then make sure the interface is set down before trying.

Alright so i have disabled networkmanager, but after this i could no longer get a connection using ethernet.
I saved the journal from that too New pastebin.
after this i tried to enable netctl just to be sure but still could'nt connect to my network using ether ethernet or wifi, but now i can connect to my phone hotspot again.

You brought the ethernet device up, but did't obtain an IP (eg. by running dhcpcd on it or so)

Then you ran wifi-menu, associated w/ the AP fine, but don't get a lease from the router.
You can edit /etc/dhcpcd.conf to try to use the ClientID rather than the DUID, but should also look into your router config whether there's some MAC filter or a static lease table.
