can't create pkg

Hi,

I have cloned google-chrome and when I try to run

makepkg -src

I receive the below error:

running makepkg as root is not allowed as it can cause permanent, catastrophic damage to your system.

Any guideline?

So I can not create a package with root user? I have to create another user and then run the command using another user?
