USB ports in Laptop not working after undocking

Hi all,

Maybe someone can help me with this. One of the USB ports in my laptop stopped working after I undocked it. The other one is fine. In the one that is working I get response through

libinput list-devices:

http://ix.io/2h2O

(Logitech in events 24 through 28).

I also when reponse while doing:

cat /proc/bus/input/devices

http://ix.io/2h2R

However, when I plug in the other one I get zero response. Same happens if I plug an USB keyboard on USB drive. Gotta be port not being recognized. Any help with this ?

Does anything post to the kernel ring buffer (view with dmesg) or the journal when you attach a device to the port?  Errors? over-current? Failure to enumerate?

Got solved on it own. Don't ask me how or why. At work I rebooted several times and I never got it back. Went back home, rebooted again and here it is ... wth ... I will keep this open because tomorrow might happen the same when I dock and undock ...

Does anything post to the kernel ring buffer (view with dmesg) or the journal when you attach a device to the port?  Errors? over-current? Failure to enumerate?

Have you updated the kernel lately?  Perhaps it was in need of a reboot after the upgrade.

Hmmm not the kernel, but I updated the Lenovo BIOS and thunderbolt 3 via fwupdmgr a few days ago. Today was the first time I docked the laptop through the thunderbolt after the upgrade ... maybe this ?

Have you updated the kernel lately?  Perhaps it was in need of a reboot after the upgrade.
