How can prevent my computer from sleeping?

I just installed Arch Linux with an XFCE desktop environment a week ago on my HP Stream laptop. I need to compile a large package, but I do not want my computer to fall asleep and stop my compilation. How can I prevent my computer from sleeping, or is there another way to solve this problem?
