VMWare usage issues: /dev/vmci not found

While I was installing and using VMWare, I got the issue:

Unable to change virtual machine power state: Failed to open device "/dev/vmci": No such file or directory
Please make sure that the kernel module 'vmci' is loaded.

The wiki told me to do

vmware-modconfig --console --install-all

which I did. However, I got the following error message:

[AppLoader] GLib does not have GSettings support.
sh: /usr/lib/systemd/scripts/vmware: No such file or directory
Unable to stop services

Is there any way to fix this? i looked all over the wiki and couldn't find anything.
