[Solved]Build a package from already downloaded file?

Hello
I have an out of date AUR package which i'm trying to update without success.
usually, i would go online and grub the file checksum for the new package i want to update, run yay and edit the PKGBUILD.
with this particular package  (microchip-mplabx-bin) during the build process it tells me that  "==> ERROR: Integrity checks (md5) differ in size from the source array.
"
i checked on the microchip website and there is only one Linux file which is the latest.I have 2 questions:
1- where the outdated file is situated?
2-Is it possible to manually download the file (.tar) and build it locally? if yes ! can  someone tell me how?
thank you in advance

This is why you shouldn't use an AUR helper when you have no idea what you're doing. Read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … Repository and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD

The error is quite clear about what the issue is.

Yes, you can.  Here's how.

EDIT: ah ... you just had two previous threads in the past week both asking about building this same AUR package, both of which concluded allegedly successfully.  How have you successfully installed this package several times in the past week yet at the same time claimed to have failed to be able to install it successfully several times?  What's actually going on?
