Cheese does not detect webcam
Hi
I have a Logitech Quickcam E2500 Webcam, I tried to access it using Cheese 3.34.0 (on Cinnamon Desktop) but the application diplays No Device found.
I made sure that the device is detected by the kernel. I even installed guvcview and it was able to capture video from the webcam. On the terminal
I launched
sudo cheese --device=/dev/video0and I got the following output:

Autolaunch requested, but X11 support not compiled in.
Cannot continue.Any idea, suggestion or comment is welcome

Never run graphical applications as root. If the application launched as your user doesn't find the device then it's usually a permissions issue that should be handled given you've logged in correctly. How are you starting cinnamon? What's your output for
systemctl status? And the terminal output of cheese launched normally, without sudo.
