[SOLVED] Steam crashes at start with nvidia/nvidia-dkms drivers

It looks like a couple of my AMD cards started to suffer heat damage, so I have had to put my GTX 970 back in for gaming. I'm having the quirky issue of Steam simply crashing(segfault) when I start it with the official nvidia drivers running. The nouveau nvidia drivers, and of course my AMD cards don't have this issue.

most of what's in /tmp/dumps/assert_20200425080833_1.dmp is illegible, or generic hardware info.

EDIT: Seems to have been fixed just by installing the lib32-nvidia-utils package.

Your GL resolution is broken, is lib32-nvidia-utils installed?
