My goodddamn gosh.. you are right. Not that I tried to be clever, I tried to be clean... but I did do some mental unconscious filtering. I was simply not reading the top lines of the file, as they are usually comments. I do not know how the culprit line got there, anyhow... probably it was a commented title, and I uncommented the line by mistake. If you are curious about the WHOLE file, here it is:
/etc/locale.conf
# Habilitar UTF-8 con valores españoles. LANG="es_ES.UTF-8"
LC_ALL="es_ES.UTF-8"
# Mantener el orden predeterminado (por ejemplo, los archivos que
# comienzan con un '.' (punto) se mostrarán al principio en un listado
# del contenido del directorio).
LC_COLLATE="C"
# Establecer la fecha al formato DD-MM-YYYY (comprobación con «date +%c»)
LC_TIME="es_ES.UTF-8"By the way,... I think the Arch Way foments the attitude of trying to be clever, so I think is natural that people behave in such a way.

Since your problem is solved please edit the first post in the thread and ad "[Solved]" to the thread title. ![]()

It's a double-edged sword.
Ideally one strikes a balance between clever and thorough, but you're not the only one who falls prey to unconscious mental filtering. The devil is always in the details...

Okey I wanna be thorough. I shall put it as "Solved" once I restart the machine and convince myself that is "[Solved]". But now I am working on something. : þ
