systemd-hostnamed service crashes on boot

I recently started failing to boot, seemingly due to systemd-hostnamed.service crashing on boot.
It seems it could be a timing issue, because after a few reboots the service actually manages to start and I boot succesfully into XFCE desktop.

Log from journalctl for systemd-hostnamed:

I found this issue on stackoverflow where it was suggested to downgrade dhcpcd to 9.0.0 (below 9.0.1), and that 9.0.2 fixes the issue:
https://unix.stackexchange.com/question … me-service
But I've had no success when trying that, I downgraded to 9.0.0 and the issue remains, as well as after upgrading back to 9.0.2.

Anyone know if the issue is still in dhcpcd, or if there is some other fix?

Re: systemd-hostnamed service crashes on boot

I've seen your report, please post about which resources you've found that would make this obsolete, rather than us deleting it, it might help someone in a similar situation.
