Sound not working on laptop speaker

Hey,
so i recently installed arch linux, and few days later I realised i had no sound coming out from my laptop's speaker, nevetherless when i'm using my headphones it works just fine. I checked that their volume wasn't mute
This is my result when i type

pacmd list-cards
active profile: <output:analog-stereo>
	sinks:
		alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo/#0: Built-in Audio Analog Stereo
	sources:
		alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo.monitor/#0: Monitor of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo
	ports:
		analog-input-internal-mic: Internal Microphone (priority 8900, latency offset 0 usec, available: unknown)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "audio-input-microphone"
		analog-input-mic: Microphone (priority 8700, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "audio-input-microphone"
		analog-output-speaker: Speakers (priority 10000, latency offset 0 usec, available: unknown)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "audio-speakers"
		analog-output-headphones: Headphones (priority 9900, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "audio-headphones"
		hdmi-output-0: HDMI / DisplayPort (priority 5900, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "video-display"
		hdmi-output-1: HDMI / DisplayPort 2 (priority 5800, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "video-display"
		hdmi-output-2: HDMI / DisplayPort 3 (priority 5700, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "video-display"
		hdmi-output-3: HDMI / DisplayPort 4 (priority 5600, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "video-display"
		hdmi-output-4: HDMI / DisplayPort 5 (priority 5500, latency offset 0 usec, available: no)
			properties:
				device.icon_name = "video-display"`

I don't understand why the availability of the audio-speakers is at unknown

Re: Sound not working on laptop speaker

That its declared as unknown is normal and doesn't make an inherent statement over whether it should work or not.

amixer -c0 #or relevant card index
pacmd list-sinks
dmesg | grep snd

Re: Sound not working on laptop speaker

As I have two audio card available (HDA Intel PCA, HDA NVidia), is there a way two know which one is the more relevant one  ? I'm using a razer blade 2018

Nevetheless, the

 pacmd list-sinks

return me this :

Re: Sound not working on laptop speaker

Nvida is for HDMI output out of external screens usually, for laptop built in speaker you want the "normal" built in audio card.

That dmesg doesn't contain *anything* might point to other issues as your dmesg is likely spammed with something that leads to the ringbuffer losing older context (though that can also be normal depending on what you are doing) use

sudo journalctl -b | grep snd

or maybe post an entire

sudo journalctl -b

so we can check for relevant context. FWIW which laptop model is this exactly?

Also maybe repost that during actual playback, as well as

pacmd list-sink-inputs

(forgot to add that one should've been in the other post)

This is was is returned from the first command :

[warthy@devwa ~]$ sudo journalctl -b | grep snd

For what i remember it is a classical razer blade 14" I bought in 2017, so probably the edition from 2016

This is from the last command:

[warthy@devwa ~]$ pacmd list-sink-inputs
0 sink input(s) available.

I guess that having no sinks is a problem ^^
