[SOLVED] Plasma/KDE hangs about 10s after splash screen

Hi everybody,

I reinstalled Arch yesterday and since then I have the problem that when starting Plasma it hangs for around 10s. I have auto login enabled in sddm and it happens as follows:

• Boot system

• Auto login leads me directly to KDE splash screen (is it called like that? I mean the black screen with loading animation)

• Desktop is shown (I can see my background image but nothing else)

• Hangs for about 10s

• Rest of desktop is shown (desktop icons, menu etc.)

I don't have any idea how to debug this? In which log file I could have a look to find the cause?

My problem seems to have been the same as here (although I didn't get the error message):

The workaround from there worked.
