Syslinux 'poweroff' not working: APM not present

Hi,
I have syslinux as bootloader. When I select 'poweroff' it says 'APM not present', and doesn't actually power off, just continues with its automatic boot on 'Arch Linux'. There is nothing in my BIOS concerning APM. How can I get this function to work?
Thanks, Jan van Rossum

If your BIOS doesn't support APM, "poweroff.c32" will not work. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … _power_off .
