[SOLVED] Compressed sound headphones after -Syu

Hello everybody,

I'm having some trouble finding the root of the problem causing audio distortion/compressed like sound of my headphone output. I suspect it might be some invalid Pulseaudio config. Could somebody please give me some pointers as I have little knowledge about Pulse. I did try some stuff of the wiki and nothing has worked so far. How would one systematically debug this?

I've tried this and here is a log of the overly verbose pulseaudio run.

More likely a kernel regression. What was updated in the -Syu ? Post your pacman.log. To check a bit more from pulse's side, during active playback post

pacmd list-sinks
pacmd list-sink-inputs

Re: [SOLVED] Compressed sound headphones after -Syu

Thank you for your reply V1del.

Weirdly enough, my problems went away without me taking further action.
I'll monitor it for now and modify set thread to [Solved] if this problem stays away.

Maybe something went awry with the kernel and rebooting?
