[SOLVED]local network printer detection

Hi all
Very new Archlinux user here (just come from Kubuntu).
I am running kde plasma DE. My firewall is disabled while I am testing.
I am trying to setup a local network printer using the kde printer app.

under Kubuntu a heading would appear ("Discovered Network Printers") and I could see my local printer.

With Arch I do not have the discovered printers heading, just "Local Printers" which has "CUPS-BRF (Virtual Braille BRF Printer)". (this heading was also in kubuntu)

So how do I get the app to discover my local network printers?
Or how do I go about troubleshooting this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SOLVED]local network printer detection

Thanks. I assumed it was something different from CUPS. I enabled and configured avahi and it's all working.
