When using ranger, for images and pdf's file previews work fine. For plaintext files such as .txt .py .sh etc. it's printing out the battery status (e.g. "Discharging 34%") rather than the contents of the file.
I'm using ranger in alacritty terminal emulator, with pdftotext and ueberzug for pdf and image previews.
