Language-specific letters not shown in terminal
When I try to type letters like ą,č,ę,ė,į,ų in a terminal I get a bunch of meaningless symbols. I don't believe this is a font issue, because in other distributions like manjaro with xfce this is not happening (using the same terminal (kitty) and font (Fira code)). Vs code also doesn't have this issue when set to Fira code font.

It may still be a font issue if Fira code doesn't provide those glyphs, the font system will likely look for fallback fonts that do. What fonts do you have installed in each OS? What is the output of `localectl` and `locale -a` in each OS?
